Privacy policy
What this website collects, why, and the choices you have. Effective October 21, 2026.
Who we are
Faith Focused Tech (faithfocusedtech.com) is operated by Heidi A. Campbell ("we," "us") to offer consulting on faith, technology and artificial intelligence, along with custom technology services from Troy Shepherd and a free AI Policy Generator. This policy explains how we handle information collected through this website. It does not cover the websites of other organizations we link to.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Contact forms: your name, email address, organization, the topic you choose and your message. This includes the "Talk it through with Heidi" form on the AI Policy Generator, which also carries the readiness score and open decisions shown on your results page.
- AI Policy Generator: when you finish all twelve questions, we receive your organization's name, your name and role, the type and size of your organization, your answers to the generator's questions (including any help you said you'd like), and the resulting policy text and score. If you later change an answer, the saved copy is updated. If you email yourself a copy, purchase a policy review or go on to buy the implementation kit, we also receive your email address.
- Scheduling: if you book a time through one of our Calendly links, Calendly collects the details you enter there under its own privacy policy.
- Purchases: when you buy the handbook or the implementation kit, or pay for a policy review, we receive your name, email address, organization, what you bought and the amount paid. Purchases are processed by Creem, which acts as our reseller and merchant of record, so your receipt and card statement will show Creem's name. We never see or store your full card number. When you buy a policy review from the AI Policy Generator, the checkout link passes along your organization's name and a reference number so we can match your payment to your draft.
- Waiting list: if you ask to hear when the handbook is ready, we keep your name, email, organization and the option you're interested in, and send you one email when it's available.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of the request. This website loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads. We do not use advertising cookies, and this site does not set its own tracking cookies.
The AI Policy Generator
The generator builds your policy inside your browser. You can see your policy without giving an email address. Nothing is sent while you are answering. When you finish the twelfth question, your answers and the details from the first screen are saved for us, and the first screen says so before you begin. If you stop before the end, nothing is sent. If you add a logo to your policy, the image stays in your browser and is never uploaded to us.
So you don't lose your work if you leave the page, the generator saves your answers in your own browser on this device. They are not sent to us by doing so. Choosing Start over erases them, and so does clearing your browser's site data.
Please don't enter sensitive personal information about individuals, such as health details, counseling matters or information about minors, into the generator. It only needs general information about your organization.
How we use your information
- To reply to your messages and arrange conversations you request.
- To email you a copy of your generated policy and any updated version you ask for.
- To follow up if you asked for a review of your policy or a consultation, and to send the policy you drafted to Heidi before a review you purchase.
- To deliver what you buy, including implementation kit files pre-filled from your generator answers, and to keep records of purchases.
- To understand, in aggregate, how organizations are approaching AI, to improve the generator and our guidance, and to publish research findings as described in the next section.
- To keep the website secure and working properly.
We will not sell your information, and we will not add you to a marketing list unless you ask to be added.
Research and published findings
Heidi A. Campbell studies how religious communities use technology. We may combine AI Policy Generator submissions to publish aggregate findings, such as an annual "State of AI in churches" report, articles, presentations or scholarly research.
- What we use: your answers to the generator's questions, the type and size of your organization, the format you chose, and your readiness score.
- What we never publish: your name, email address, role, organization's name, or anything else that could identify you, your organization or the people you serve. We do not quote individual submissions.
- How we protect it: findings are reported only as combined totals, such as percentages across many organizations. We do not report a group so small that an organization could be recognized within it.
- Your choice: if you would rather your answers not be included, tell us through our contact form and we will exclude them from future findings. Choosing this does not affect the policy you received.
Contact form messages, policy reviews and other conversations with Heidi are not used for published research.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us run this website, and only as needed for them to do so:
- Netlify, which hosts this website and receives and delivers the messages you send through our contact forms.
- Calendly, our scheduling provider, if you book a time.
- Creem, our online store and merchant of record, which processes payments for the handbook, the implementation kit and policy reviews, and delivers the handbook.
- Google, which stores AI Policy Generator submissions in Google Sheets, prepares implementation kit files in Google Drive, and sends the policy emails you request.
Heidi A. Campbell and Troy Shepherd may share inquiries with each other when a request fits the other's work. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of others.
How long we keep it
We keep contact messages and generator submissions for as long as needed to respond and to support any working relationship, and for up to three years afterward unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Published aggregate findings contain no personal information and may be kept indefinitely. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Hosting logs are kept according to our hosting provider's standard schedule.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you at any time through our contact form. Depending on where you live, including in California, the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights, such as the right to object to or restrict certain processing or to receive a copy of your data in a portable format. We will honor those rights as the law requires, and we will not treat you differently for using them.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your information on the basis of your consent (when you submit a form) and our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries and running this website. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
This website is intended for adults acting on behalf of organizations. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
